Fun Friday Finds

Tiffany always posts the cutest finds on her blog, and with a little one on the way I have found plenty of cute things lately!

Free Freebirds. Follow this link. Reminds me of good old College Station!

Mod Paci Clips found on etsy:

Halter maxi dress from Gap Body, now on sale. I bought this in grey in a size up, and always get comments on how cute it is!
Bird Onesie (because I have a bird decor/fabric fetish) by etsy seller veryKIKI:
Thomas Paul Rugs - Another bird design go figure! If I had unlimited funds I would get this for the nusery.

Meet Baby Brown

Emily and I got to meet sweet baby boy Brown today, born to our good friends Liz and Rupert just yesterday. He pretty much slept the whole time we visited, and let us pass him around from person to person without a peep! I know Lily will have a lot of fun with her future playmate Hector.

Before and After

Our poor fridge is decimated by the end of the week. Between us we manage to go through a gallon of milk, 1 1/2 - 2 loaves of bread, a dozen eggs, a container of salad, lots of veggies, 2 bunches of bananas, a large container of yogurt, a couple of small bags of frozen berries...well you get the point. Lots of eating going on in our house!

Photography Class

In preparation for baby's arrival, I decided that I had to get the SLR that I had been wanting, and that I was going to learn how to really use it. So, I would highly recommend doing what I did, and signing up for a class at your local community college. Best $95.00 I've spent in a long time!

Unfortunately for the dogs, I'm in their faces a lot now! Dodger can be a bit camera shy. He'll be laying there looking so cute, and I'll get down in front of him with the camera, and he peaces out. Patton on the other hand, enjoys mugging for the camera. Mugging is an appropriate word, because the faces he makes look like a little dog criminal's mug shots to me!

Baby Lily

I wasn't going to talk about our pregnancy on the blog, but I've held out for so long and now I can't contain it! If you are wondering why, it is because I really don't want my mother to know everything that is going on in our lives. Hopefully she hasn't found this blog, but if she has, I did enable the comment moderation. I don't want to hash it out here, but if you don't know our family background and you are curious, I am perfectly fine talking about it.

So...for those of you who haven't heard, Phil and I are expecting our sweet baby Lillian Caroline this August. I can't believe that she'll be arriving in just four months. On one hand it seems like it is forever away, and on the other I feel like my pregnancy is going by so fast. Each day I fall a little more in love with her baby kicks. It is amazing how much you can love someone you have never met. I think the only two things I hear out of Phil's mouth anymore are "She's going to be so spoiled!" (meaning by him of course) and "My babeeeeeey Lillllllly!" or some take on her name, whether it is singing Sweet Caroline with Lily thrown in there or some other song. I don't think there is any stopping her from being a daddy's girl.

Spring Blooms

I love this time of the year, because all of the azaleas and roses start blooming in our neighborhood, the purple verbena blooms, and the tulips come up (although ours are pretty much spent.) We don't really do anything with our yard in the winter, so in the spring we go from no color, to color everywhere! I love it. Here are a few pictures from our yard this spring.

Cake Show

My friend Ginger is a baker extraordinaire. She is in pastry chef school and makes cakes on the side for friends and family. I have indulged in many of her tasty treats! A couple of weeks ago I tagged along with Ginger to a cake show in Austin. The show features a competition with various categories (culinary student (like Ginger), beginner, intermediate, advanced, professional, and a tasting competition as well.) There were some amazing cakes there, and I haven't uploaded them all yet, but I will post a few that I have online already.
Shout out to my dad and his two Harley's. ;)
