Aggieland Weekend

We came, we saw, we barely won. But that is pretty standard lately in College Station, except for the winning part.

Dining Room

We FINALLY have a dining room that is furnished. If you've been to our house, you've more than likely seen an empty room off to your right when you walk in the door. My friend Sherry helped me find the super cute zebra print for the chairs which were a great find on craigslist! So, tuh dah, here it is:

Patton thinks the chairs match him

Ben Stein At Work

Dang, I should put on some more makeup for work! And if you are wondering what I do all day, I just meet & greet with celebs. It sounds way more interesting than I sit in a cube and crunch numbers...

Lea Thompson visits my work

For all of you celeb stalkers....don't you remember Lea from the Back To The Future movies? Oh wait, I'm sure none of you are stalking Lea Thompson. But she was really nice! Please excuse my shiny forehead.

Dear Men on the Train

There is a little something called train etiquette I would like to teach you about. Now we all realize that with gas prices, the dart is very full. We ladies don't expect you to give up your seat for one of us that is standing, although it is nice when it happens, we understand that we live in the south, not the deep south.

However, we do take issue when a seat is vacated and you, a fellow standing passenger, scramble around like a tazmanian devil to get the seat. That seat my friend, should have gone to one of the ladies standing around you. At least your poor girlfriend/wife/baby mama pointed that out to you, but you still sat there scowling. It is hard work to stand on a lurching train in high heels while reading your book and attempting to maintain your personal space from the people around you. Give a girl a break next time.

Four Year Anniversary!

Last Thursday we celebrated our 4 year anniversary by taking the day off of work and spending it together. We had so much fun and it was nice to have a day off and not spend it cleaning or working around the house, but instead with my honey. We started the day by getting passports, very exciting I know, because Phil might be going to London in a few weeks for work. Then we had a super delicious breakfast at Original Pancake House, followed by shopping at Phil's very favorite place.....Academy! In reality, he had to get his hunting license, but I also found two adorable Nike tennis skirts on sale for $10 each. Can't beat that. I may not play like Sharapova, but at least I can have a cute outfit like she does.
We then went to the gym and had a great workout. I would go to the gym everyday if that little thing called work didn't get in the way! Then we came home and got ready for a yummy dinner at Pappas Steakhouse. We love Pappas. They have great service, wonderful food and I love the atmosphere. We stuffed ourselves and had to take our dessert home, which ended up lasting several more days. They were delish!

Phil's tie is so cute. Pink with little bulldogs on it.

Me taking a peek at our desserts!

Babysitting Miss Hannah

Last Monday Jennifer and Stuart flew in with Stuart's parents and little Hannah to go to the American Idol concert. Jennifer asked if Phil and I would mind watching Hannah and of course we were quick to oblige! And not just because they were staying at the W and were sweet enough to order dinner in for us. I was able to see Jen twice in about two weeks, and that never happens these days.

This picture of Hannah was taken no more than 5 minutes after Jennifer and Stuart left for the concert. About 20 seconds later, Hannah decided that she hated Mr. Phil's guts and only I could hold her. She was definitely the boss and she also let me know in no uncertain terms that I was not to put her down all night either. She was sweet enough to let us eat our dinner while she took a quick cat nap, so I think that was her way of compromising. And really, I kind of enjoyed the fact that she wanted me to hold her. After all, I would be handing her back to mom and dad in a few hours so I could spoil her all I want. I can't believe how big she is already and how much personality she has. She was quite adorable in her little pink tutu.
Now if you know Jen, you know that she is a major girly girl, miss junior league, panhellenic, prim and proper woman. So I was rightfully shocked when I took a closer look at this cute picture of Miss Hannah Grace Yeager and I saw that she was flipping me the bird! I guess I was supposed to ask before I took her picture? All I know is that one Stuart Yeager is going to be in big trouble for teaching this to his 8 month old, because I know she didn't learn it from mama!Ok, obviously Stu did not teach Hannah that, but it is funny to consider!
