From Daddy's Shirt to Lily's Skirt

I have been meaning to try this tutorial for a while now.  I finally got the chance last weekend and I love the result.  P's shirt had seen better days with some pen marks on the sleeve and the collar was starting to get a bit grungy.  The only changes I made to the tutorial was to sew down the buttons so the skirt wouldn't gap, and add the lace trim.  So fun, don't you think?  When I get a chance I'm going to sit down and whip up a couple more of these!

Wow, impressive! You make it look so easy. I've never sewed a thing in my life, but I wish I knew how.

NICE WORK!! Funny, I just got my sewing machine back from getting it worked on (it was my great-gmas and has been sitting in the garage for way too long).

I am trying to figure out if it will fit in my antique sewing table?? I should add that I have NO IDEA how to do anything on it so I am TOTALLY impressed with this skirt.

You should sell these...I would buy one!

SO cute...what do you think about Eli in a skirt? Maybe I should just wait to see if we have a girl one day to try this out. Nonetheless, I am super impressed Elicia!!

I love that you are putting your sewing skills to good use! Love the skirt! Did you use a pattern? Jere has so many of these I should do this with... and my skills are getting rusty since our class.
