You're the only ten I see

Yep, we went to Tennessee for the weekend for Chris & Mary's wedding. It was beautiful there. Phil and I are ready to pick up and move. We always say that when we get back from California, but the difference is that we could actually afford to live in Tennessee. The wedding was beautiful, the reception, a bit crazy. Of course Phil's high school buddies ended the night doing keg stands. Good times. Phil and I, being the only ones to rent a car for some reason, spent Saturday in the cutest little town called Franklin (and we were really glad that we rented that car, because the non-car renting group spent the day at the hotel with a walking trip to Target thrown in. Apparently Eric needed some Frizz Ease.) Franklin was like the little town in Gilmore Girls and they had a fall festival going on, the weather was perfect, the shops were adorable, man, I wish I was still there! Phil (being Phil) got up and ran 9 miles on Saturday morning and found this really neat lake with a nature trail, so he took me back there and we were able to walk no more than 8 feet from two deer. They just stayed on the side of the trail munching away. It was really neat.

Ironboy

A couple of weeks ago we went to Austin for the weekend and Phil completed his first half ironman. So when you finish a full ironman (while actually running portions of the marathon in case Max is reading this), you certainly deserve the ironman title, but what about when you finish a half? I deem Phil Ironboy. We had a fun time, and luckily his coworker was also participating, so I was able to hang out with his sister and the rest of his family during the 5+ hour long event. According to Mr. Youngblood, all that the girls did while the boys were competing was "take a nap under a shade tree." So now Phil likes to say that I was too busy napping under a shade tree to watch him. Luckily, I have pictures to prove that I was watching, between naps of course. Oh yes, and I got up before 6:00 am to spectate, hence the sun rise pictures.

Phil - 1, Punk Kids - 0

Last night we were out walking our dogs, and we were about 50 yards from a four way stop sign when a black SUV comes skidding around the corner without stopping at the stop sign, going so fast that their tires were screeching. It was headed almost right at us, so I jump to the sidewalk with Dodger. That was of course my immediate reaction, to get out of the way! Phil on the other hand, throws his bottle of tea all over their windshield. Ha, stupid kids! It obviously caught them off guard because their lights suddenly went out as they fumbled to turn on their windshield wipers. On our way back home we saw them creeping around the neighborhood, stopping at every stop sign. I guess the green tea scared them!

The Office Tramp

Due to a misunderstanding, I think one of my senior vice president's wives may have thought this about me. I don't blame her either. I mean, if I had opened up a box of silk sheets from another woman I would be really confused! Luckily, she checked the packing slip and realized that Pottery Barn had sent silk sheets instead of the onesies that my manager and I had ordered for them as a congrats on their new baby. Thanks a lot PB!

Aggieland Weekend

We came, we saw, we barely won. But that is pretty standard lately in College Station, except for the winning part.

Dining Room

We FINALLY have a dining room that is furnished. If you've been to our house, you've more than likely seen an empty room off to your right when you walk in the door. My friend Sherry helped me find the super cute zebra print for the chairs which were a great find on craigslist! So, tuh dah, here it is:

Patton thinks the chairs match him

Ben Stein At Work

Dang, I should put on some more makeup for work! And if you are wondering what I do all day, I just meet & greet with celebs. It sounds way more interesting than I sit in a cube and crunch numbers...
