Happy Birthday Lily!

My sweet, precious, fluffy haired, light up the room Lily. One year old. Where did the time go? I wonder how many hours I spent holding you. How many minutes I spent watching your sweet face after you fell asleep. How many smiles you have flashed and how many smiles you've brought to our faces. My little energetic, full of drama, giver of kisses and bites on the shoulder. There isn't a box big enough to hold our love for you. Sometimes it makes my heart ache to think about. You are a wild one, an explorer, have yet to meet a stranger. You love your dada to the moon and back and he loves you fiercely. His most favorite thing to do in the whole wide world is to show you off, to carry you around for all to see. He might as well wear a sign on his back that says "This is my baby, my blessing, my precious treasure" because it is obvious that is how he feels. We are so blessed to be your parents. To wake up to your sweet face, your big blue eyes, your cotton hair, your sweet clean baby smell. I love to watch you discover the world all around you, to listen to your belly laugh and your baby babble. I am so thankful that I get to spend my days with you. Some days are challenging. Some days you are a teething mess and you refuse to nap and you make messes faster than I can clean them up. But your babyhood is fleeting and I'm thankful for all the days both good and bad. One year, gone by in a flash, a blink. 365 days of being your mama and loving you. My little ray of sunshine. I love you so much! xoxo
